Cody McCaughan at Mac Law is a great lawyer and an even better person, and I would highly recommend him for any of your professional/legal needs. Cody has helped my wife and I with two real estate transactions. Once when selling our house, and once when buying a new house. The sale of our house went very smoothly, and Cody guided us through the process seamlessly. The purchase of our new house got pretty complicated (through no fault of ours or Cody's), but Cody has also guided us through that process and is working hard to help resolve the issue. We have been very impressed with his work on both fronts. Additionally, Cody is a personal friend of mine, and I know him to be a good, trustworthy person and very smart. Not only was Cody beyond professional, his knowledge was instrumental in my wife and I closing on our condo. For those who have never purchased a home, the process is incredibly overwhelming and moves at a much faster pace than you're probably ready for. I assumed one was only supposed to higher a lawyer if an issue arose during the purchasing process. I was beyond incorrect. Unfamiliar words, documents, and people are consistently calling and requesting payment, signatures, and direction with how to move forward on a specific task. As this was my first time purchasing a home, I was completely out of my element. Everything was running "smoothly" until an issue with a lien arose. What took multiple people a number of days to figure out, only took Cody a few hours. He resolved the issue, explained it simply to a person not within the field, and put our minds at ease.
